Sask Business Teachers Conference and Student Case Competition

Sask DLC students and staff attended the 2026 Sask Business Teachers Conference and Student Case Competition, where they participated in networking, professional development and business challenges alongside schools from across Saskatchewan.

Throughout the event, Sask DLC's team demonstrated strong collaboration, creativity and business knowledge, earning 3rd place for Business School of the Year.

Students explored Saskatchewan’s tech start-up scene, connected with founders and took part in innovation challenges. Sask DLC students also earned 3rd place in a student social challenge focused on repurposing old toys.

During the case competition, Sask DLC students showcased their creativity and business skills:

  • Finance students developed a long-term financial plan covering investing, education and small business ownership from high school through retirement.

  • Entrepreneurship students created a business plan for a nutrition bar designed for female athletes called Glow Bar, incorporating collagen and iron along with a strong marketing strategy. Their team placed 2nd out of 12 teams — missing 1st by just 0.1 points.

Their second-place finish also secured a scholarship for Grade 12 student Ryan, who will attend Edwards School of Business this fall while continuing his basketball career with the U of S Huskies.
